The
Children’s Water Festivals require over 30 volunteers per
day to help coordinate hundreds of students per day. With
your help, we are able to reach more students and more teachers
in two days than many field trips reach in one year!
As
a volunteer, you have the opportunity to become actively involved
in creating a community that understands and cares about life in
the Middle Rio Grande Valley.

Assist
presenters in setting up their activities the morning the festival
begins. Consider staying for the festival and finishing the day
helping with one of the opportunities below.

Assistant
Stay
in one activity and help the presenter as classes cycle through.
Classroom
Guide
Guide an assigned class through their activities and help the presenters
stay on time.
Welcome
Desk
Assist the Water Festival staff by providing a presence at the Welcome
Desk.
Lunch
Assistant
Start
the morning a little later and help make sure each class gets their
water and snack during lunch.
Photographer
Take
photographs that can be used to share the joy of hands-on learning.
